Role Description

Rezatec has secured funding for a number of new technology development projects both in the UK and internationally and as such has a need for a dedicated Project Manager. Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, the Project Manager will manage full project cycle, budget and schedule while liaising with customers to ensure that expectations are met.

The role will suit a confident, enthusiastic, well organised and customer-orientated individual with proven ability to meet challenging deadlines within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to commute to the Harwell office. Travel may be required from time to time.

Key Tasks

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and deliver project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing requirements
  • Manage project(s) risks and issue
  • Manage and report on financial aspects of the project(s)
  • Ensures project documents are complete, updated, and appropriately stored
  • Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s)
  • Submits regular project status reports to stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Degree educated.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience in customer facing roles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project management processes such as schedule, budget and risk control.
  • Experience of work in the GIS / Earth Observation sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.

Desired Skills

  • Accredited project management qualification or similar.
  • Experience of working with ESA, UKSA, Innovate UK is advantageous.

Role Description

A vacancy exists within Rezatec for an EO / GIS Analyst to join our EO team, based at our head office in Harwell, Oxfordshire. The role will involve sourcing, processing, analysing geospatial datasets and may include field work to collect ground calibration data.

The role will suit a confident, team-orientated individual with proven ability to meet challenging deadlines within a dynamic environment. The applicant should have a degree in a science related subject and either an MSc in a GIS or remote sensing discipline, or have equivalent working experience in this area. Experience with environmental data is an advantage but we will accept applications from other industries as long as the applicant can demonstrate their knowledge in geospatial information.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to commute to the Harwell office. Applications from EU citizens are welcome.

Key Tasks

The successful candidate will contribute to projects within the agriculture, water, forestry, energy and carbon sectors. Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Sourcing and pre-processing satellite, aerial and vector datasets.
  • Spectral analysis and modelling of optical and radar datasets using both open source and proprietary algorithms.
  • Development of automation scripts.
  • Field data collection, using mobile GIS technologies, which may include travel.

Essential Skills

  • Firm understanding of GIS and EO concepts, such as projections, data management, formats and metadata.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of GIS and EO techniques for processing and analysing geospatial datasets, in particular satellite derived imagery.
  • Experience with EO / GIS software applications, such as Erdas Imagine, ENVI, QGIS, GRASS.
  • Scripting and statistical languages, in particular, but not limited to, Python and R Project.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Someone who can work on their own initiative as well as within a team and can make a contribution into applied techniques and processes.

Desired Skills

  • SAR data analysis.
  • Experience with environmental datasets.
  • Spatial Databases, in particular PostGreSQL+ PostGIS.

The business is now implementing the next stage of its growth strategy which involves substantially increasing the number of UK subscriptions, expanding internationally and making the data-as-a-service more accessible to smaller businesses and individual users.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer to join our growing development team, building and supporting the Rezatec back-end services. We use proprietary algorithms and advanced machine learning to translate satellite imagery into strategic, commercial insight information for our customers, and present this information via a variety of analytical and presentation tools through a web portal.

Reporting to the IT System Architect, the incoming Back-End Developer will be tasked with structuring solid, efficient code, working closely with the lead developer and other members of the team.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to commute to the Harwell office. Applications from EU citizens are welcome.

Key Tasks

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing RESTful Services following a standard Controller/Service approach to support both the Model-to-Web and the Production-to-Model domains
  • Maintain existing back-end services
  • Creating or updating existing services documentation
  • Build reusable code libraries for future use
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Back-End developer
  • In-depth knowledge of the Java 7, or later, and related technologies (SpringBoot, Mockito, Maven)
