Board Members

Cornel has over 20 years’ experience both as a company CEO and Managing Director and as a private equity investor. He is a founding partner of Caphaven LLP a private equity firm focussing on small company buy-outs and growth investments. Previously Cornel was CEO of two private equity owned businesses, European Directories and Findexa, and a partner at TPG Capital. Prior positions include Group Managing Director at Trinity Mirror plc, CEO of Borthwicks plc and five years as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. Over the years Cornel has served on the board of a series of public and private companies and he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Patrick was previously CEO of Helveta which he grew from start-up to ranking 11th in the 2010 Deloitte Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK.  Prior to Helveta, Patrick was CEO of DACG Inc, a provider of professional services and software, which he took to a NASDAQ IPO in 1998 with revenues of $80mn and a 5-year CAGR of 80%. 

Mark is a Professor of Climatology and Environmental Sciences at University College London. He is currently a Royal Society Industrial Fellow.

Tom is an Investment Director at Gresham House Ventures and has been working as a venture capital investor since 2015, focusing on fast growing, early stage private companies across the technology and consumer sectors. Previously Tom spent six years at KPMG, working across a number of departments with a focus on private equity transactions and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Tom now acts as the Investor Director across a number of Gresham House Ventures’ portfolio companies, either as a Non-Executive Director or as a Board Observer.
