Rezatec, the leading landscape intelligence data products provider, has officially been approved by the Governing Board of Climate-KIC as an affiliate partner of the programme.
Climate-KIC is one of three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) created in 2010 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The EIT is an EU body whose mission is to create sustainable growth and the Climate-KIC supports this mission by addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Since winning the Climate-KIC incubation award at ecoConnect’s Cleantech Innovate 2013 competition in February 2013, Rezatec has been participating in the Climate-KIC’s UK three stage Acceleration programme, which provides promising start-ups with the tools, opportunities and network to transform their ideas into commercial success.
Professor Richard Templer, Climate-KIC UK director said: “I am pleased to welcome Rezatec as an Affiliate Partner into the Climate-KIC community. Their innovative application of Earth Observation science to help businesses respond to global environmental challenges, such as climate change, is vital to ensuring the future security of food, water and renewable energy.”
Patrick Newton, CEO at Rezatec commented: “As an affiliate partner, Rezatec aims to continue to contribute to the Climate-KIC programme though its ongoing development of landscape intelligence data products that help European and global businesses better manage their land assets and environmental risk.“
Other affiliate partners include Sainsbury’s, Rothamsted Research, Bayer Technology Services, GDF Suez and KLM.
